The guys from Supersonic, although they put out some great affordable quality audio equipment, call this a “Premium Soundbar” which I think is an overstatement. Now, don’t get me wrong I truly think this is worth the money otherwise I wouldn’t have reviewed it on the website. But calling it a premium would take it up to the level of a Klipsch sounbar system, which clearly is not the case.

Even though Supersonics have been around for a while, they only added this Supersonic SC-1412 32 Premium Soundbar to their portfolio recently this year. The unit has been made available for purchase at Amazon since February 28, 2013.

Basically, if you want to upgrade the sound/audio your TV delivers and can't afford or fit a regular home theater system or high-end soundbar in your room/house, this unit can solve your problem and give you a decent listening experience.

Pros:
  • 5 bands EQ settings
  • Very affordable and good price-quality ratio
Cons:
  • Poor design
  • Cheap materials, non-rigid casing

The soundbar system comes with a 2-Channel speaker system delivering 40W of total power. The Supersonic SC-1412 32 Premium Soundbar System also features "Theater Sound" with what they advertise as 3D surround sound effects. I can say the surround sound effects are decent, better than what you would expect out of a unit at this price range. But the so called "3D sound" is more of a gimmick than a feature, you can hear it in some way, but far from being the real deal.

One thing that surprised me is the "endless: possibilities for media streaming offered by this unit. The built-in Bluetooth receiver will allow you to connect (wirelessly) the unit to your tablet, smartphone, HDTV set, mp3 player and laptop/pc. The feature actually works really great and didn't ran into any hick-ups. USB Input and the 3.5mm Auxiliary Input will also allow you to connect your non-Bluetooth audio devices.

A few other minor features are the PLL FM Radio with preset stations for more streaming options and the clock and alarm function which is pretty cool if you plan on using the Supersonic SC-1412 32 in your bedroom. The unit is wall mountable (with brackets) and it comes with a full function remote control.

Long story short: if you need/want a soundbar, but won't like to spend a small fortune on it, this is a great audio quality/price ratio unit. You get what you pay for in most cases, but this unit seems to surpass its price and present itself with a good audio quality delivery for your enjoyment.
