Designed for sound reinforcement, studio monitoring and audio equipment testing, these headphones do a great job in every loud working environment. The extremely robust construction of these headphones allows every professional to focus more on his work and less on maintaining his equipment.

The Sennheiser Electronic, HD 25-1 II became available for purchase on Amazon on October 25, 2012.

Sennheiser Closed-Back HD 25-1 II does a great deal in noise cancelling, which is a branding method for the guys at Sennheiser (being already known world-wide for this). But you have to give them credit, these do offer a much higher attenuation of surrounding noise than other similar products, making them a great pick for those working in highly 'noisy' environments.

Pros:
  • Lightweight, comfortable design
  • Robust, resistant, detachable steel cable
Cons:
  • Average instrument separation ability

Weighing at 140 g (14.4 ounces), these headphones are probably the most comfortable you can purchase right now, when used for longer periods of time. These also offer an option of one-ear listening, which makes them indispensable for mobile monitoring, I guess a feature greatly useful for a DJ or a cameraman. The split headband will get them to fit better on your head, thus being even more comfortable.

These are really heavy duty headphones. Don't be afraid of tangling the cables (dual entry cabling - 1,5 m) around something and ripping them apart, these will last. Also, the cables do not produce any 'microphonic' sounds in any position or moving around. This proves that quality for accessories was something the Sennheiser Electronic HD 25-1 II spared no expense for. The maximum sound pressure level is at 120 dB (active), and the frequency response in the headphones is ranging at 16 - 22000 Hz.

I would definitely recommend the Sennheiser Electronic HD 25-1 II for a working professional. Though these seem slightly more 'sensible' than other products of this kind, trust me they're not. These are really sturdy and resistant headphones, the tough, detachable steel cable only adds strength to the previous affirmation.
