Even though the first generation of Clip players was released more than a decade ago, people still love it. And because people still love it, the good guys from SanDisk keep releasing new colors and improved versions of this “mile-stone” player.

Back when MP3 players were 'controversial', SanDisk brought the Clip to the market; back than, this was "game-changing". Up until now, they still release new versions of it to the market from time to time. The Lime and Teal color versions were only made available for purchase at Amazon on November 15, 2012.

Without breaking the bank, some nostalgic users and some people looking for a bargain still find the SanDisk Sansa Clip+ MP3 Player a great little player.

Pros:
  • Perfect for an 'active lifestyle' user
  • The volume and power buttons have great ergonomic placement
Cons:
  • No cap over the MicroSD slot

The greatest thing about these players, back in the day, was the built-in rechargeable battery, lasting up to 15 hours on a single charge. This was a major improvement in a time when CD players ran out of batteries before you got to school; it still a good thing today with all the new smart technology that needs to be charged two-three times a day. This is an ideal music player for exercising and traveling, the SanDisk Sansa Clip+ MP3 player is presented in a lightweight, wearable design which clips directly onto your backpack or clothing. This MP3 player is available in a variety of colors, so you can pick the one that best suits you.

The SanDisk Sansa Clip+ MP3 Player has a Digital FM tuner with 40 presets, a great alternative for some that might get bored with their own music selection. The unit also features an integrated mic that you can use to record messages and reminders. Its capacity goes up to 8GB (2GB, 4GB and 8GB). Still, the SanDisk Sansa Clip+ MP3 features an onboard microSDHC expansion slot, that lets you expand the player's capacity by up to 32GB with a SanDisk microSD or microSDHC card.

The backlit OLED screen gives you an easy-to-follow user interface for managing your personal content. This lets you scroll through your entire library with ease and displays four lines of text at a time.

The simple things this SanDisk Sansa Clip+ MP3 Player requires, like Windows Media Player 10, Internet access for music download, and a USB 2.0 port, make a great "non-techie person" friendly player out of it. I recommend it to all type of users. If you're not looking for all kind of gimmicks such as smart touch screens and web browsers, then this player is possibly the best on the market for its value and quality. The Clip+ is definitely worth the few extra dollars over what the first generation Clip is selling for nowadays.
