I’ve already reviewed and presented some of Sabrent’s wireless indoor/outdoor speaker systems a while back, and I saw this on display in more than one retailer’s window and thought of introducing it to you. This could really be a great new addition to every affordable wireless speakers system I promoted thus far; could be a great investment for someone looking for s similar unit and doesn’t want to break into his savings.

I guess the best place to get this is Amazon, I for one trust them in all aspects of shipping, quality and warranty. This unit's been made available for purchase with them since March 25, 2013; it comes with free shipping included.

Basically what this unit allows you to do is enjoy good music, with quality sound delivery outside without having to run any wires though your house and yard. What I personally think this unit is great for is bbq time and poolside fun; being weather resistant you won;t have any issues with it whatsoever.

Pros:
  • Operating distance up to 50 meters
  • 900MHz Phase Loop Lock circuitry
Cons:
  • No Power On/Off option on remote

The main key feature is definitely the Sabrent (SP-TOUR) unit's portability ease of outside use. This can work really well in mid-sized to larger yards/gardens as well; the unit is powered by 2.4GHz technology, which guarantees a strong, crystal-clear signal up to 150FT away. The transmitter is powerful enough to deliver a signal even through walls or any type of obstacles in your home, yard or garden; and thus making endless installation options available.

The streaming options available are limited to a USB, 3.5 mm or RCA audio output; although this offers high quality music wherever you want it, and a easy-to-use plug and play system, I would have liked to see other streaming options like Bluetooth capability. The Sabrent (SP-TOUR) can play music from your iPod, iPhone, iPad, computer, stereo, MP3 player and any other device that has a USB, 3.5 mm or RCA audio output. From some (myself included) this is enough for garden/yard usage.

The 2.4GHz Wireless Outdoor/Indoor Speaker System comes included with only one speaker; this is designed for both Mono or Stereo playback, although for stereo playback, you'll need an additional speaker which must be purchased separately. I would pair this system up with a (SP-ESKY) wireless speaker system or an (SP-NELO) for a far superior audio system.

Overall, the transmitter alone is worth the asking price, personally I think this is a great investment, but only if you plan to use it outside. For indoor usage I think you can get something far more suited at the same price range.
